ok so i stopped by the shop today to talk to crap and bs with the owner and his son like i always do. well he has this 2 door in the back of his shop for sometime, it was suppose to be a trade for some internet work but the kid decided he didnt want it. it is a 95, it has no motor, trans, or tcase but it was everything else the body is in awesome condition no scratches or dents i took a waterhose to wiped it down to check. ok here is where the fun begins i have a 97 that is already lifted and has all the goodies but drives like **** cause its been wrecked and the front "frame rails" are out of wack and i think the unibody is warped cause the passenger doors are not lining up and the top sticks out. my motor is good to me it has 175*** on the odometer but has been lifted over a year and havent put the new speedo gear in yet. the body on my 97 is all beat to hell and and windows are cracked the back hatch is dented and cant put a handle on it. now i was wondering how hard is it to put the motor and trans out of mine into the 95 2 door. the 2 door still has all the wiring and stuff just no motor or anthing like i said. how hard is this to do i will be doing this at a fabication shop and have only a weekend a to do it will some guys that are experienced in doin stuff what yall think. i would like to know before i go welding my frame stiffeners to one of them

well if you plan on doing in a weekend you better start soaking every nut n bolt with pb blaster on the suspension with the one your swapping into.

I agree...it's totally impossible to do a body swap. Unless...........

Newer motor is better, just need a referee to pin a tag in the door. Unless there isnt any emissions change between those years then I wouldnt tell them.

Ask a smog guy if there are any differences between the 2 years.

97 is OBD2, isn't 95 OBD1?
