Do you know what year's the 4.10's were offered? I included the two common ratios. The purpose of the post is to gather information for those interested in axle swaps. Like the God of Suspension thread.

Well, the axles in "Tigger" are from a '76 and they're 4.09s.
They were original equipment with the 196. Tigger lost the 304/3.73s before I bought it and had the 196/4.09s swapped in.
They're a good gear ratio with a V8 and stock-to-33s. :D PO thought they were drag-racing gears.. felt good to me. :D
Diesels - especially the NA ones - would be a good source for 'em, too.
I have a page in my "FAQ" section that details the gear ratios offered in what years for the SII. Click the little WWW icon..

Alright, I updated the info on 69" width axles. Seems all GM's are 69, Dodge and Ford are 67" does this sound correct?

The 6-lug GM is narrower.
And a GM converted to 5 on 5.5 is narrower than the 8-lug, but wider than the 6-lug.
Fronts, that is.

My 4.09 axles also came from a diesel scout, I've also seen 4.27's that were under a pre 1980 diesel.
