It fell through with the tester:( Or I blew it:confused: I really can't remember. I do remember that I was having family issue's at the time so maybe that was it.

Mine has been out for over 2 years now with no probs. I think Brent's has been out for about 8 months? maybe a year? Hav'nt herd anything bad about them either, so who's plate is better? I guess it depends on who you know and what you like....

I like mine:flipoff2: LOL

I've been real impressed with my Trail Tough bucket. It is super heavy duty with some beefy arms. I like the one piece design, too. I have drug mine across a few rocks with no damage except a few scratches. ~Steve

Thanks NC Zuk.. That looks Sweeeeeet! I can see now how tying the two t-case mounting points together would completely eliminate the potential for case failure. I'll add that to my list for Santa :D

looks like the you use the same parts as stock

how can you guarantee that the reused parts you use aren't bent sence that is so common ??

One more question though...

So with either of these two buckets, what's the deal with the poly mounts vs the rubber mounts?

In other words, will the poly mounts be needed with these for the most bulletproof setup? or will the standard rubber be fine?

One more thing: i remember reading that a driveline e-brake setup wouldn't work with Bill's bucket, is that true?

rubber mounts will break yea but with the poly mounts they wont break the will jsut rip off your mount on the frame thats:rainbow:

Tusker, You can order from me or AAPOA:D

Weez, If your deciding on what to get based on $$$ I'd have to say order from Brent

For one I "start" with straight stock arms, I make sure thay are 100% straight.... then I re-enforce the sh!t out of them! 2nd, I use stock arms to guarantee a stock fit in any and all samurai's. If you ever have any prob with a true Bucket of mine, I'll fix or replace for free. I do this cuz I know you'll break your Samy in half before the bucket granades:D

I still feel that Brand new rubber is the best choice. Either mine or Brents, I think there is a need for a "fuse". I know guy's breaking and tweeking the frame mounts:eek: . I'd rather spend 5 min changing a mount. But it is up to the buyer what they want to run, and I take no responsibility for busted frames;)

Drive line e-brakes are compatable with my bucket ONLY if ordered that way from the start (and their cheaper:) )

I think scratches are cool

A custom order that's had an "encounter":D LOL

well not directly related the the bucket(s) im using a gm tranny mount in my setup. 3 of em to support the t-case similer to stock. list was $8 and i bought 3 at the same time at advanced...

If you are willing to redo the frame mount you could use this np. just redrill the arm hole to 1/2" (post actually 7/16" but 1/2" works super...)

their stull rubber and lots easier for me to work with and easily replaced...

OMG !!! DO people really pay that much for "better" enigne mounts????

drill out the cast engine mount hole, and the frame bracket to 1/2" weld a small tab on the bracket to keep the mount from spinning (in case it gets loose) and drop this on in on the driver side.... AND its got a cool interlock tab... Pass. side requires inverting the mount and nulls the interlocking tab, this also alters the position of the engine a little due to the small difference in offset of the mounts... I paid $8.50 plus tax last year for these mounts... 83' Dodge 150 6cly motor...

Interesting.. I used those same motor mounts for my Rotary swap, but then decided I did not like them, and pulled them out. They do make a left and right side version of those mounts too.

Always use a rubber mount at the t-case. The polly mounts will rip the frame mounts right off. I have seen several zuks that have done this now.

By the way, Petroworks is coming out with a really nice fully enclosed set of rubber motor mounts. They will not transmit a bunch of vibrations through the vehicle like most aftermarket mounts do.

I have seen both Bill's and Brent's buckets in and out of different samurai's. My big complaint with Brent's is the approach and departure angles on the front and rear. His bucket is nearly verticle, where-as Bill's has a nice angled slope that won't hang up on the rocks. I have been running Bill's bucket for a year now and have litterally landed on the bucket after popping the entire front end over a rock with NO damage to the bucket or t-case, and I have never hung up the truck while sliding over rocks. If you really want a bulletproof bucket that works very well I think paying a couple more bucks for Bill's is definately worth it.

I also agree with keeping a "fuse" in the system by using stock rubber t-case mounts. I've busted two short side ones in the past year, one running sand dunes and one at SOR this year.

Besides, Bill is a great guy, he's offered to fix or replace any problem buckets for free!!

My .02 cents...

i think i busted like 5 or 6 t-case rubber mounts at sor two at once the short side and the forward long side one so i think if i would of had the polly ones i would have riped off the frame

I'm leaning towards Bill's...

As of now i'm pressed for cash, so i'm going to wait a month or so and then get the bucket so i can afford bill's.

Any of you guys running the 6.1's with it?

I'm running the 6.1's with Bill's bucket. LOVE THEM!! I've had them for about 3 months now, worked great at SOR and the local rock crawls. I was really impressed with the 2WD high gearing on the road. It pushes my 33x14 boggers pretty well down the highway and to the grocery store.

Doubt it. My frame mounts lasted almost two years before I lost one. But hey, if you don't like poly mounts you better get rid if the YJ spring hanger in the rear too. It'll eventually tear the stock spring mount right off the frame. The way I see it, a 10 cent weld bead every two years beats spending $20 a pop on those rubber pieces of junk. Anyone need some spares? I got 5 or 6 lying around.....
