I checked out Loons site and it says there not "open" till June. I usually camp on the trail so im not too familar with the lake camping up there. any info on the camping and when i can legaly camp up there without gettin in trouble? Maybe a website? im not really stuck on Loon, it can be UVR, Yellow Jacket, Ice House, etc..oh yeah were not heading up till Memorial weekend:shaking:

North shore is open. the South shore and boat ramp were closed on thursday.

If you go past the loon turn off torts Wentworth there are several developed camp grounds and many undeveloped off the paved road as well

We go to airport flats every year and there’s yellow jacket and wench creek as well and just before airport flats there’s a road that has good sites as well same with just before Wentworth turns to a dirt road sorry I no longer have the mile marker # or the gps for these locations

And there are many cap grounds around union valley lake you can try

The past few years, as soon as the road was plowed there was an onslaught of rv's/trailers/campers that flooded the campground at loon.

There is an iron ranger at the entrance to the campground. I don't tend to stay at campgrounds and have no specific knowledge of fees for that one, but it should be available online.

Hey cruz any word on if there guna start charging to stay at airport flats this year? I guess we were volunteered to run the keos and trail maintenance etc threw wintworth was wanting to set up at airport like normal but heard a roomer about charging

So unless it is in place now, it might not be. I do know they are looking at paid parking at Stumpy Meadows and it is not on here either.
