I am working a deal on swapping my single wheel Dana 60 hubs to put dually hubs on my rig. I am running hummer rims and would like extra width.

Before I close the deal, I need to know how much wider per side are the wheel mounting surfaces on Chevy dually hubs vs Chevy single wheel hubs? I have heard a variety of widths and need a good answer before I say "ok".

Thanks in advance.

Ed most people run the hummer rims to keep it narrow, why run them otherwise if you dont have too? jiMMy

?????? why? I think they're a good 5" on each side...
That seems odd when you could just reduce the backspacing on your hummer rims with the same but less dramatic result...

4.25" on a '79 dually, per side.

It is now narrower than I want it. I am 79" wide now with 16" wide 38.5" tall TSL's, but would like to be in the 85"-87" wide range once I put on the 15x42's.

I run hummer rims because a: - I have them b: - I didn't have to buy beadlocks c: - they were really cheap

Thanks Scott! That is what I needed to know.
