Chicomecha and I went up Saturday morning, (5/9) early, just to check out the snow conditions.

Fairly clear to West Branch Bridge. Beyond that expect road bare to heavily covered with deep snow.

Still are 5 to 6 foot drifts in a lot of places. To Philbrook, not much challenge, much beyond will be considerable work. Deep ruts mostly Jeep width to fool-size, may challenge quads.

Appears to be melting 2 - 3 inches a day.... but freezing at night, so expect 5 - 6 feet at the "T", if you can get that far.

Best guess is that Memorial Weekend will still have major challenges to get to "T". That is not to say that by driving at night or early, before it turns to soup, and a rig that is fully locked and aired down, with some lift won't have fun, but during day is is snotty, soupy, and a lot of work.

just got back and the snow is shit. Its real warm up there and the snow just turned to mush. We had no problem making it to the t and to carr last night but coming home today was just no fun. Night wheeling is great, around 12 or 1 the snow was solid. prob 3 to 4 feet at carr and 5 feet maybe at the t. Tho next weekend it will prob be half of that.

The campground at Philbrook Lake will be open for the Memorial Weekend.

It is a P.G. & E. (fee) campground, but nice.

The road will be plowed to there (and only to there) by then as well.
