Not sure if this ought to be in the Tow Rigs or Chevy forum.
In any case, here goes.
Pretty sure I have toasted another set of rear rotors on the truck. Seems the calipers get stuck and the rotor gets chewed up. More so in the areas that use road salt. I can blame myself (to a point) for not taking things apart and cleaning up the caliper pins.
OK, I can put another set of rotors and pads on but the fact remains.
The factory brakes (IMHO) don`t work all that well to start with.
What are you folks finding to be good replacement parts ? I`ll give up some pad life for improved stopping power.
EBC, Bendix, Wagner ??
It was some 4-5 years ago when the pads were replaced so I don`t remember what the hell I put on. All I know is that there has to be a better setup then what I am running.
Thanks to the PBB wrecking crew.
