I am looking to do a custom full cage to my 92 YJ. Does anybody have any ideas or pics of a cage they built. Any feedback or pics are appreciated...

I was just going to weld on to the original cage and add a front hoop with the four spreader bars. I would like to add the a bar behind the seat to mount the man killer (high lift) and the bars on the side of the seats.

I would use the mount behind the seat to mount a 4 point harness, nice for the trail cause you can use just the lap belt, or for highspeed you know you will be safe! But you need to talk to some belt manufactures to make sure you get the bar in at the right height. Also what about a dash bar? this could be a good place for a grab handle for passangers too!

I will be adding the dash bar. My buddy talked about building the seat frames into the cage as well.

Speaking of Roll Bars, is there a special TORX that you need to get the TORX of the bar that runs across the top of the door on the YJ. It has a probe/pin centered in the TORX bolt and I can't get that bastard :flipoff2: off without a special TORX I am guessing. Any ideas????

Hey Saudi,

Take a small chisel and break that pin off in the center.

Thanks bro.....appreciate it. Some times it's the simple things in life we forget..........like breaking out hammers and chisels.

Now I can finally install the rest of the roll bar pads that I bought...hehe.:p :p

Here is what I did - keep in mind it would have been different if I didn't have a family.

Thanks! We just finished another cage a couple weeks ago and I am in the process of starting another one. I LOVE having a tube bender!
