i have finnaly found a set of axles from a 77 f150 and want to put them in my 87 yj how much trouble would it be to setup a radius arm mount with coils and crossover steering i also have a mid 70's gm dana 44 with flattop knuckles on it allthough it is a 6 lug and the hp dana 44 from the f150 is 5on5.5 , ihave put several exploder 8.8's in my friends jeeps but never changed any front axle setups i would imagine without looking at the axle setup in a f150 yet, that all i would need to do is weld coil housings to my frame weld on some d.o.m. tubing and mount johnny joints to the radius arms ends and weld on some mounts to my yj frame for the johnny joints to attach to also would it help articulation to make one ,probably the passenger side r.a., a quick disconnect and if i use the gm flattops can i retain the 5 on 5.5 wheel pattern does anyone have any ideas on this

radius arms dont work, they bind when they flex. Go with a 3-link youl be a lot happier with the result.

What do you mean by quick disconnect on passenger side? What style of RA are you thinking of running. there are a few different ways they grab the axle. Which style are you dealing with? If you do run them definetly recommend heim joints at the end. Ran them(early bronco arms fully boxed and modified with heims) in Moab on my 97 tj with 14" air shocks and they worked great. Did not see or feel any binding.

Are you going to DD this rig or is strictly offroad. Either way I might recommend going one more gear set higher, thats just me though i love my 5.38's with 37's and a 4 to 1 kit in the T case department. Would like to see the pivot point pics when you get them installed. can send photos of mine if you like:smokin:
