What state do you live in? It really shouldn't matter, but a lawyer can twist about anything around to suit their purpose. If it were me I would stab them.

SilverZuk 05-12-2009, 05:04 AM It is completely irrelevant as long as the gun has not been reported stolen.

Do you run checks on guns you buy FTF? I don't...
Scott@Rockstomper 05-12-2009, 07:56 AM Doesn't matter in Colorado since we don't have registration, as long as the one you use isn't stolen or illegal.
which one packs more firepower?

Just make sure said shotgun is as evil and black as possible - zombies and skulls painted on are a plus. When the cops show up, be sure to be wearing a Rambo style ammo sling.

Regardless, either gun will probably be taken away as evidence.
From some stories I have heard, it is doubtful you will get back anyway.
If the gun had been reported stolen, they may ask you questions about where you got it. They will take the gun, and you will never see it again (and the person who reported is stolen may not ever see it either).
It depends on the local cop shop as to what happens.
sharpshooter 05-12-2009, 10:45 AM Seeing as how you don't know if the gun was stolen or involved in a crime, I'd run a check on it before you shoot someone with it, just a thought.

Eh, no thanks. I like private transfer's so there isn't any record of me owning said gun. Not that I would ever use the gun in an illegal manner, it's the blackhelicopter in me. The way the liberal left is, if they ever did win their way with the second amendment you'd bet money they'll take their list of who owns what and go collecting.... would be a dark day but we may be closer than ever during the next 4 years.
southonbeach 05-12-2009, 11:55 AM just rig up something to the A/O setup thats a nice flame thrower. then you can clam that you had it in your hand and pointed it at the BG to keep him away from you. wasn't your fault that he got a little too close and it now slightly crispy
