Sorry guys, this is a really newbie one !!!
The 700 R4 tranny is a 3 speed tranny plus overdrive or 4 speed plus overdrive?????
The reason I ask is cause I'm not sure if the overdrive of my tranny is working. I "feel" 4 shifts when I am on the highway but I think my revs are high (2500 at 65 MPH). I'm running 35" with 3.73.
Other Q. If my overdrive is not working, Is that bad for the tranny or I will only loose the adavantage of the overdrive???.

700r4 is a 3 speed tranny with OD, so 4 shifts. Sounds like its working fine. If there actually wad no OD, something is wrong internally and is not good. If you feel the RPMs are too high, may want to check the TC is going into lock-up and not slipping.
