I have a 84 GMC with stock Rebuild 350 with 600 cfm Edelbrock carb on it.

I have researched to find out if the vacuum advance should be hooked up to the manifold vacuum or the the timing vacuum witch increases as you open the throttle. and have not found a good solid info.
Please help.

that is what i figurer but i have been having people tell me that from the factory they come hooked up to the manifold vacuum. i think that is for if you are running the factory EGR. am i wrong about this?
