i've got a 1356, seems strong enough and i like the low gearing to weight ratio. i know they came behind 1ton diesels too.

i'd like to replace my C6 with an NP435, but i don't think the 1356 will work. didn't early 80s 1/2 tons come with NP435s and NP208s?

would a 208 hold up to a stock big block, 435 and 36s in a van?:grinpimp:

Sure it will. All Ford fullsize t-case have the same input and bolt pattern, D21 and 1998+ trucks withstanding. The adapter is for the transmission. So if you want to put a BW1356 behind a NP435 you need the 4wd NP435 and it's factory t-case adapter.
