Sorry those flares gotta go!! Even some checker plate on there would be 10x better. If you gotta paint them green to match do it

Functional yes but not to my taste. Heres my minimal attempt with 44's to keep it legal as I never liked flares. I also was pulled over not more than a month ago and the cop never mentioned any issues about the truck but my liscence had just expired

When ya' live in a rural community & the sheriff gives ya' a ticket for no mud flaps on yer' junk ya' leave em' on there. Yes they are FUGLY:( It's so loud now w/headers & exhaust system I'm VERY surprised that's all I got.

I have seen this stuff in 3" and 6". I can't find the 6" but heres the 3". Click item details and scroll down.

I know it works now but, if you tear it off it might be worth looking into. I used to get it from a local farm and auto shop. Might do some poking round and find it up there.

EDIT, Not bashing at all. Others chimed in and I figured I would post another option.

So let's move on from the conveyor belt FUGLY flaps shall we?...........
My buddy runs an exhaust shop & this cool Fomoco happens on in. Looks to be 79' F2 camper special(see cargo door) turn into pretty cool dune basher.

Funny the stuff that shows up at Aarons shop. I'm digging the ferd other than that cage needs some reinforcement...its design is seriously lacking.

Here's the install of a 6 point pre-bent cage I got from "Bronco Bob" @ All for Fun Off Road in Albany last year. Firstly... I do not have a bender.:( Would I love to learn? ABSOLUTELY.Secondly... I'm an old semi-crippled fat handsome sneaky guy:flipoff2:. So I ask my exhaust shop bro' if he would assist me, Aaron obliged of course. I took the top off & seats out, as you could see, earlier last week.
Aaron has some great ideas & a bender so we ordered up 2 more 20 ft. sticks
which will be here Friday. Final pics when complete.
We're gonna' sandwich plate in cab & underneath & weld tube from frame to lower sandwich plate.
Aarons shop is like GearHead Central, lots of folks stop by to check in.:D

Looks like I'll be heppin' ya' on the tranny R & R. I was gonna' say tranny humpin' but I knew what would happen.:flipoff2::shaking:
You gotta' admire a guy with a tube bender in the front yard! His 15 month old, gearhead in training, son runnin' around with shop tools in his hand & willing to help the less fortunate: (me) old, semi-crippled, fat, handsome, sneaky guy.
Rod did comment on how much different it was to pilot a wheeler w/more than 90 HP:D.
In the pic is Mrs. Big79'Terry in pink. AKA:Marfilicious:p.
I can neither confirm nor deny anyone elses identity in pic.

Terry, Happen to have any better pictures of the cage fitment in the cab? I'm looking pretty seriously at going the same route with my cage setup and would like to see how 'form fitting' the in-cab portion of the cage is.

Heres the pic Ive got I think if you did a "a" to "c" bar rather than a "a" to "b" bar you could get it tighter than what this kit does. Kind of look at the tj cage inspiration thread in the non-hardcore section for ideas about this. Also an idea is a hoop off the "b" pillar with legs under it you could get it pretty tight then like the pics below. Hope this helps. Sorry for the hijack.

You are both correct to a point.....SOME of the tube was notched, not all of it. Having gained the humility from trying to notch tubing for first time, lets just say I'm extremely grateful to have freinds that can.:D

Since we last talked I've been floggin' the Bronco on a regular basis. Last week I fragged a re-man starter & nuked my homebrew, 8 yr. old, dropped track bar bracket.
So I ordered a new starter, not a re-man. Then I considerd my options for track bar bracket. Our local hero Jim Cole came thru for me....BIG TIME.
Jim's new gig is Bloody Knuckle Garage.
http://bloodyknucklegarage.com/
I got to BS for a while w/Jim this afternoon, before heading to work. He's worked w/& designed parts for Warn, Duff, Cage & now his own deal. One of the main reasons I like Jim is that he's an honest family man as well as a business man.
If we can get Pro to upload the pic of nuked track bar, life would be simpler. My junk is @ his shop, I'm working nights.
Second pic is of me gettin' ready to help exract Jim's 60" R2 shod behemoth.
We's a' waitin' on Pro:flipoff2:.

Sounds like the easy answer is to buy me a digital camera or one of those fancy schmancy smart phones.

P.S. If you did the above we get get a sweet pic of my taking a dump in your carburetor...which is what I'm doing right now :flipoff2:

edit: Well, I finally found the camera and cable, and I even took the pic on a white backdrop so your breakage would show up good. All of a sudden this thread title makes more sense

If I really had cawk on the brain you'd end up with some cawk in your fuel tank. So when you finally pick up your junk if it runs rough and your exhaust smells like piss you'll find out if you're right or wrong. I see your black text and raise you black text

I believe this is an end from a Superlift adjustable track bar that I've used on several versions of track bar.
While I may not have caught it in this pic, it's bent. I also have the appropriate size heims w/weld in threaded bungs. The current bar is a little too short to utilize the heims. I'll be stopping in to Jim C.'s Bloody Knuckle Garage/shop for some guidance tomorrow.
This S.O.B. REQUIRED MAXIMIMUM EFFORT w/pipe wrench & 5ft. cheater to get er' unstuck.

that thing reminds me of the tre on my truck, its a 79 f250 dana 44 tre jammed into a 76 f250 dana 44 knuckle, it doesnt fit as it should (obvious).. the older shit gets, the weaker it seems to be, in certain cases although i,ve yet to break it, its obvious i need to fix the gheto rigged pos before it hurts anybody. ive thought of dom and some joints but i dont know what i should use since its mostly street

03-23-2012, 06:41 AM
I went with this but with the biggest 1.25" thread along with 1 1/2" / 1/4" wall DOM that I had the end tapped to fit instead of going with the weld on thread to have to reduce down in thread size

I've got a motorized light wheel for the spot light on it as well. When we have parties and the main shop lights are off it will knock a drunk on his ass quick what with all the multi color lights spinning around. I put those railings up in the loft on that side where the pool table and xbox & projector are for a reason!

Good thing I don't allow drinking in my shop. Such a ridiculous statement doesn't need black text.

edit: Ignore the keg you can see under the table in that pic. Waves hand "This is not the keg you are looking for...."'

pro, hows the garage door working these days?

Shit son, I fixed that a couple years ago.

As far as what "that" was (which you know but the rest of the PBB doesn't), I can neither confirm nor deny that I was doing donuts with the forklift in my shop with the forks all the way up. Alcohol may have conceivably been involved. Said act which may or may not have possibly smashed the track on one of the lower bay door rails as I looped around and wiped it out with the forks up.

Theoretically.
