First off, this is a scan of what my buddy drew on a napkin. He's been building trannys for 30 years. Sorry for the lack of detail, but I was able to figure it out easily once I had the valve body apart. Everyone has been askin me for the details of this mod, this is all you get for now, I'll do it with pictures when I do my next build.

You'll need 3 carbureter check balls, 1/8" drillbit, and 16 pennies.

Stretch the big spring out so it has more tension, The pic shows where it's located.

Install the 3 checkballs where you see the black dot's in the picture.
IIRC There is one more valve than pictured at the bottom left.
Install the ball as pictured where the really funny shaped valve is (bottom left).

Where it says 13 pennies, mine held 16. Regardless, remove the valve and fill the bore with pennies, it's a perfect fit.

As for drilling the 1/8" hole. Drill this in the plate not the valve body!! You are just making the exsisting small hole bigger. This allows more fluid for a firmer 2-3 shift. IIRC there are 3 holes in the plate, 2 are close together, this one is by itself. Study the picture to make sure you drill in the right spot!

Thats all I got for now, Sorry for the piss - poor picture. He's a tranny guy not an artist.

Can I just 'print screen' on your napkin scan and hold it over the plate as a template? :flipoff2:

Love the tech!

I'd be kinda scared of putting this kind of kit in an AOD. I've had a few stock AODs go bang!

I think thats an excellent Idea. Let me know how that turns out.

One thing I should mention about this poormans kit. It will go into whatever gear you put it into at any time. There is no more safety lockout. Soooo....
If you're truckin down the highway and decide to bump the shifter into 1st....
Lemme know what breaks 1st:nuke:

From what I hear theese are basically the same changes you make when you buy a "trans-go stage 2" kit. Just the cost is under $2

Works great though.... it'll bounce your head off the back window if you're into the throttle hard.:smokin:

That didn't answer my ? :flipoff2: I'd prob be better off buyin a kit for an AOD anyways so i can tweek the governor... i'll keep this mod in mind next time i'm dealin with a C6 that doesn't already have a kit in it.

That sounded like more of a request or demand to me. However, being the super nice guy that I am, I'll ask him next time it comes to mind. But, I'll be sending you a bill for a napkin.

Well it was in fact a question in the form of a demand. lol. But I decided to just get the Transgo AOD-HP kit for it, so i can also recal. the governor.. So thanks anyways..

My C6 had that exact stuff in it when I took the valve body apart. It was built by an ATS Diesel Trans technician.
I took it all out to put my shift kit in, maybe I should have left it:confused:
