Does anyone know where to find a fuel cell that is designed to be used upright instead of laying down?

I tried Summit and Jegs and some other places that came up in a search, but the only thing they had held 3 gallons. I need one at least 15 gallons.

I saw one in a guys Jeep last weekend in Tellico, made out of aluminum, that was round (about as big around as a basketball) and about 3 feet long. He said it came with mounting hardware sorta like a nitrous bottle. He said his wife found it on the internet for $130, but he knew nothing about the internet and didn't have any idea where to find it.

Either of these will work, round or rectangle.

Check with RCI racing...they make all kinds of shapes.
You could always have one made from al., I'm having one made by a guy who fabs towers for boats. He uses any thickness you want and will build to your particular specs.

Try a boat place that specializes in jet nboats or vdrives or maybe a vw place that has baja parts. Or maybe a piece of -pipe thats capped off on both ends. :flipoff2:

Hmmm, probably be too big but I've been looking for auxiliary tanks for my tow rig lately and they have some that might do. Most are 25-30 gallons and up, but they do make some tall (relatively) narrow tanks that fit to one side of the bed in front of the wheel well. I don't remember where I saw that, not what I was looking for, but maybe something to think about...

a beer keg is 15.5 gallons, and stands uprite (although i am kidding about this, i do know a guy who runs one, and it works great)

as for a square one made to custom dimensions call frankie fountain(205-594-5098) we have a friend with a tig welder that makes some really cool cell, with awesome internal baffles, that will use every ounce of gas before the pump runs dry. he can make them out of aluminum, or steel, and to your specs.

Check sandrail places. They sell those round tanks.
