What is the difference between l6-20r and l5-20r receptacles? I know I need a L5-20r but all I can find is L6-20R!!:mad3::mad3: What I am really looking for is an adapter from 5-15p to L5-20R. So who know about this electrical stuff?

I know what you're going through. I had the same confusion. I ended up taking what I had in hand to Home Depot, buying a dryer plug and 30' of 10/3 cable, and building a cord for my welder to plug into my dryer outlet.

Thanks to both of you for your input. I think I've got it figured out now.
