Ok I am looking to put some lift under my truck I am pretty new to Mudding and have been drag racing for the past 14 years I have a 1977 F-250 with 35's on it already. Everything on it points to it being a highboy. 34'' rear frame measuremnet divorced NP 205 t case low pinion disk brake big hub Dana 44 front, 6 leafs in the front, Dana 60 with 4 inch blocks in the rear. Anyhow I have read some where that there are specific lift kits for the Highboys, In fact I remeber one post said only one comapny made them. (not positive that I read that here on Pirate) as I cant find that post now so anybody have a recommendation for whose kits to use that should work. And any recomedations on lockers?

I am building a 557 stroker with a fogger and plate kit on it and the truck originally came with a 400M so there will be a little more weight up front if that matters any with the lift kit

For that much motor look into some custom leafs for your lift. Your going to get alot of axle wrap with those blocks in the rear (hint, NO BLOCKS!!)

As for the rear locker, weld the spiders or get a Detroit locker. You better leave that d44 open, to much motor to lock it and it survive. Consider looking for a d60 if you need the front locked.

Correct. If you put a 4" lift for a '77-1/2-'79 on your '77 it would raise it about an inch. Rear springs on yours are 2-1/2" wide, '77-1/2+ they are 3". So you need a '73-'77 specific lift.

Cage has front springs, but AFAIK only superstiff has the rears, and only in a 4" lift in which you use 2" blocks (Listed on Summit as SJA-FR74S).

Now this is based on my (probably misguided) assumption you have the narrow rear springs... If you have the wide springs, I think Cage has a full set for you.

Any questions, call them. They are GREAT to work with.
