Introducing our newest in high performance suspension, the 4340 Billet Ballistic Rod End delivers the best. Offering 70 degrees of misalignment and a rebuildable bearing race, these joints will outlast the traditional rod end.

Why choose these joints over traditional rod ends?

First and most obvious, these are rebuildable for only a fraction of the cost of a 1.25" heim. These are machined from billet heat treated 4340. You won't find many mainstream manufacturers that will tell you what their "alloy" rod ends consist of. A lot of manufacturers do not machine from billets, they are finished from forgings, and nearly all of them begin life in China. The Ballistic Rod Ends are a true grease-able joint that is not metal/metal. That means longer life and a quieter joint. We incorporate a 3.5" shank, about 1.25" longer than any heim on the market today. Last, these are 100% made in the USA from USA derived raw product.

The 2.63" Forged Chromoly Ballistic Joint is made to be the ultimate in durability and ease of use. 100% made in the USA, this joint was manufactured and designed for military use and quality, and meets all MIL-SPEC standards. Forged from solid 4140 steel, the forging is then quenched, tempered and then normalized in a dedicated heat treating facility, providing a yield strength of 208,000 psi and a tensile strength of 238,000 psi! Finish machining is performed after heat treat to ensure a perfect fit.

Using Nylatron GS races with nickel plated bearings, these joints are smooth, long lasting and quiet. The 2.63" Ballistic Joint uses no snap rings to retain the races, instead a retainer is forged into the housing. The opposite side uses a threaded spanner nut and set screw. Also, we've added a lot of material to the grease zerk / set screw area to add a much greater resistance to splitting. Any play that might develop over time can be removed by adjusting the spanner nut. All forged joints are clear "silver" zinc coated.

Would the 3" Ultra or the 4340 Billet work well for a 1 link for steering rockwells and 42-47" tires? (Just wondering...)

so i'm building a new 4 link for the front of my '01 cummins and was going to use the 3.0" ultra duty Ballistic Joint for the uppers, lowers and the track bar. its just a street/tow rig but its got heavy tires/wheels on it. 165lbs per corner. just wondering how ya think the joints will hold up?

If you really want the ultimate in strength and longevity, try the 3.0" Ballistic joint for your lower links or a convergence point such as a wishbone or 'one-link', you won't be disappointed... plus we are almost always stocked on 3.0" joints!

These have suddenly become a top seller of ours, we believe that it is a much better alternative to the Chevy leaf spring bushings due to it's sheer size as well as it's standardized 2.625" mounting width. Brackets are easy to find, and if it's advertised that the bracket fits a 1.25" rod end or 2.625" cartridge joint, you're in business.

How's the lead time on the weld on 3.0s right now.

They begin shipping Monday again after our shipment of Nylatron plastic arrives, all the other parts we have thousands of in stock.
