partsflyin 05-18-2009, 02:04 PM Considering trying to put a serpentine setup from a 96 model 460 on my 78 Bronco with a 73 model 460. Anyone done this and got it to work with a saginaw style PS pump. What'd you about the alternator?? LOL Is the water pump the same legnth between the V-belt engine and a serpentine engine? I'm putting a 97 fuellie shortblockblock into my 86, and I'm debating if I'm going to do the serpentine or v-belt. f250rollinon37s 05-19-2009, 12:22 AM yes the pump is the same length ( well my 85 460 was the same as ithe 90 i got the pulleys from ) but the mounting holes and tabs are a little diffrent superd02 05-19-2009, 10:11 AM my 92 brackets bolted right on my 78s pump and all the pulleys lined up fine.
