All right, I bought this FJ a few months back and it came to me with some BFG 33x10.50 tires that have absolutely no name on them. I feel like I know BFG fairly well, but have never seen these before. I have asked a couple shops around OKC as well, and they don't know either. Any ideas???

Look like Rock crawlers to me:confused:

Baja Ta's
they are the off road race tire that BFG makes. Very strong sidewall. Very durable.
Not really sure how well they would grip on rocks though.

Thanks Jason, that souunds like a good guess. Some where on the tire it does state that they are "Race Only" tires. I agree, I imagine they won't do too well in the dirt or mud, but I'm not sure since I haven't had it off road yet.

Heck, if they don't fold well around rocks then groove the bastards until they do. The sidewall on those tires (the real race tires not the mass production ones) is unbelieveable..
I would use them until you need new tires.
Unless the desire for some 38.5's overwhelms you...

My Testosterone is REALLY craving some big ole 37 or 38s!!! But, I'll have to at least wait till Oct. So that gives metime to see what kind of damage I can do!

After taking a close look at that rig I have 2 suggestions for you...take them or leave them...
1) You need some High Steer arms for those axles and some Longfields.....being a Jeep guy, do a search and you will see what the Longfields are all about. That 350 will eat stock birfs up.
2) You are too high for your width. You need some 2" BS wheels or those 2" spacers to work with the tires you have.
You have a seriously cool Cruiser there...I say keep it and wheel the PISS out of it!!

whats with the messed up camber on the front wheels?

Thanks for the input wngrog, much appreciated.. Those all sound like good ideas. They replaced the front axles a yr ago, but all I know is that they are hardened axles. I.e. they could be anything!
Do you ever do Barnwell? And, have you ever wheeled up near Arlington?
As for the camber, it could be multiple things. Since these pics, I readjusted the front end by pulling the tow in and replacing the Heim ends. That took care of alot of the problem. i think the majority of the off camber was due to the toe. Its been driven hard, the front end was needing a bit of an over haul.

Take a look at the "damn Newbie thread", and scroll towards the bottom. Here somebody posted a pic of the fj before I got a hold of it. Here it has a lot bigger tire on it, and he states the back spacing is only ~1". This makes it look much more stable!!

True.....those wheels would be worth looking into. Sell the Boggers and keep the wheels!
I do go to GIlmer and Arlington, but my favorite is Clayton OK.

Those were thoughts exactly! Im not too crazy about the boggers.
Clayton huh?? I haven't been there yet. I've heard that Jim and juanitas trail is a real roughg ride!! I am looking to go out there with the OKC Trailchasers in the next month. Looking forward to that!
