: 37" BFG ATs
Todd W 05-22-2009, 11:44 AM Anyone have any 37" BFG ATs on a full size pickup?
Curious of actual height when mounted.
I have 35" now and am wondering if I can jump to 37", just a leveling kit on my `06 F250. The damn 35" BFG AT are 14.5" wide :shaking:, 37 are 12.5... which is what I want.
Also looks like I can get a 37" for a 17" rim for cheaper than I can replace my 35s for my 18" rim :shaking:

wheelerfreak 05-22-2009, 12:00 PM BFG's website has a chart listing the actual height of the tire when mounted...
HandBuilt 05-22-2009, 12:05 PM Had a set and they measured 36.8 inches exactly on 7.5 inch rims. GREAT tires.
wheelerfreak 05-22-2009, 12:08 PM Rim Width Mounted Height
37x12.50R17/D 124R RWL 8.5 - 11 36.3" 574 revs/mi 3525@50 psi
37x12.50R20/D 120S RWL 8.5 - 11 36.6" 568 revs/mi 3085@50psi
Here you go
Todd W 05-22-2009, 09:37 PM Ok, and how accurate are those... every other tire I've owned has NEVER been what the manufacture says it is
Todd W 05-23-2009, 12:52 PM Looks like if I drop rim size to 16.5" I can get the 35X12.5R16.5 for <200'each.
Now to find some nice 16.5" for my ford, damn, metric pattern :mad3:
Considering I`m saving over 150/tire and rims would be a one-time purchase, I could spend a lil and get decent rims.
Who makes a nice black rim?
Todd W 05-23-2009, 01:04 PM So far it seems like anything with this type of style:

Only comes in 18,20,22,24 :shaking:
jasonmt 05-23-2009, 02:15 PM 285-75-18's (35x11.5) can be had for $240+.
35-12.5-18's can be had for $290+.
16.5's seems like you would be buying stuff that is already rare on its way to being obsolescent and I would be curious if they would even fit over the bigger 05+ brakes.
Todd W 05-23-2009, 03:00 PM The brakes are a concern, and it's impsosible apparently to find 16.5" 'new style' rims now it seems..
Where are you finding 35" BFG ATs that are 12.5" wide for <$300? (For 18s')
BFG doesn't even list a 35" BFG AT for 18"...

325/65R18 Price: $331.00 (each)
jasonmt 05-23-2009, 04:09 PM Not BFG's, I personally think that there are better choices and prices than the BFG's.

What are they then?
And better in terms of mud? snow? dirt? What..
oldskoolss 05-24-2009, 06:03 AM I'm currently running 37 inch bfg's on my f250, and I love them. They have worn real evenly. no problems at all(knock on wood). I've got 35,000 miles on them, and there's easily another 10,000 left. I figure 45,000 under a diesel is pretty good. I'll definitely get another set. I'm running a 6 inch lift, and I don't think you'll clear at all. mine rub at full lock or when offroad. cutout fender flares may work if you want to clear the 37's but the leveling kit alone is gonna cause grief.

Thanks!
camo kid 05-26-2009, 04:07 PM Well I runn 4 inches of lift and the 37 bfgs on 8 inch wide wheels... only rub a little on turns. They have been wearing really good and would definately recomend...
Todd W 06-14-2009, 07:25 PM I ended up getting the 34.8" ones :flipoff2: and love them. My truck rides a LOT smoother feeling now, and is easier to turn. My other tires actually sucked MUCH MUCH MORE than I thought.
