We've got a pretty good rear shock thread (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=788639) going....
How about a front shock mount solution thread.
I'm looking for coil sprung suspension utilizing a 2" or 2.5" body shock. (remote reservoir shock ~12" travel)
Found plenty of coilover or airshock mounts but that's relatively simple as you don't have a coil to work around...
Timmay is the only one I've found to actually post on doing it...
Maybe a couple close ups of your solution?

Get a threaded body and make it a Coilover.

I cant dig for the photos right now, but I just welded some 1/8" plate over the stock shock hole, then welded 2 3/16" thick tabs to it, and bolted in my Bilstein 7100 12" travel Short Body reservor shocks in.
The lower mount was 2 tabs off the LCA mount...
I ended up ditching that setup and going to airshocks because I could never get a bumpstop that worked both under straight compression (hitting a whoop) and articulated compression...
I have my airshocks setup as my bumpstops - which probably isnt good for them, but they havent blown apart like the Bilsteins did... :shaking:
Perhaps if I had taken the time to align the shock with the bumpstop tower a little better, so they were at the same point (side to side) then it would have worked better?
Also the clunking of the coils, and the scarryness of the coils and how they looked when the axle was articulated kinda pulled me away from trying harder to keep them.

Gotta keep the coils in the front for the class it's being built for.... Otherwise it would have been an easy choice...

We started with the T&J shock mounts. Then added a little to them.

How much travel have you got?
I errored on the long side when ordering and now have to fit 14" shocks in there... I've got to go about roughly 3-4" higher than you are at to fit....

I think you can make it work easily with a 14" shock.
Just get longer coils or add a 2" spacer in there...
A 14" Travel shock would be around 36" extended?
Get some 8" coils and you should be ok I would think,
You'll only have 2" of shaft showing, but that's enough...
you'll have a FOOT Of droop! That's a good thing.
I run a 34" Extended shock, 21.5 Collapsed, which is
12.5" travel or so with 6.5" Coils with a 1.75" Spacer, so I'm
at about 8" of lift considering my coils are sagged a little.
If you had 8" Coils or 6.5" Coils with a Spacer, and you Raised
the upper shock mount some, you'll be ok.
People often times don't realize a suspension doesn't need a TON
of uptravel, If your shock is 70/30... 70% collapsed when sitting still,
that will still work well especially if you have long links. Just bump stop
properly and make sure your steering & track bar doesn't bind so your extra long shock
can achieve full droop unrestricted. Use limiting straps to keep things in check...

It's sitting on 5.5" lift coils and I don't plan on going much higher (maybe a 1-1.5" spacer)
It's planned to have 5-6" uptravel
It must have uptravel to take on whoops at 40mph+ and jumps...
I've done a build like you are describing.... and it sucks going anything faster than 30mph through anything other than flats....

The car is a Jeepspeed car, so we are limited to 10" of travel. It has a 5.5" lift. The 10" bypass shocks are the same length as a 12" smoothbody. We lowered the bottom mount 2" to make up for the extra length. You would have to lift the car pretty tall to get a 14" shock under there.
Get some 10s or 12s for the front and use the 14s in the rear.
