I've been looking for some info on the Dakota club cab. Unfortunatley searching this site and internet didn't help, all I got was the Dodge page. Anybody have links to Dakota specific sites and bb's? Mainly, I want to research lifts, axles/ strength/ aftermarket lockers and other mods. Thanks in advanced.

There's always http://www.dodgedakotas.com/ ... But they seem to be rampant with mis-information...

Got any specific questions you care to ask here?

I've got a 2000 Club Cab Dakota, and there aren't any decent lifts out there for the trucks, tell ya that right now.....
Every one that i have seen for the daks seems to be geared to people that don't actually use them off-road. The torsion bars are always left hanging really low, and the "lifted" area surrounding the IF susp. components looks like a big "mud-anchor"...
I belong to a mailing list the DML (Dakota Mailing List).
It's a decent list, with a lot of people that have a lot of good info, except that it's not solely a 4x4 list, so you get mostly stereo questions, how to put a lowering kit on my R/T etc...
But, the guy that started the list has a '92 (i think) 4x4 Ram, and has a weekend trail-ride BBQ at his place every July 4th weekend.
There was a guy, i think just outside of Detroit that actually did a SAS on a '98 or '99 and it looked really good, and well done. He had a shop do most of the work, and he was just kinda there watching and learning.
I posted the link in here to someone else a while ago, do a search here, should find something...

sorry to rehas this topic guys but ive got a question on a 2001 quad cab dakota. it has mainly to do with wheel size. they come w/ 16" wheels. can you put a 15" wheel on there? ive got a friend who bought some 32x11.50x15 mtrs and called to order wheels and got some bs story on how it will affect the abs,etc.. is the initial problem just in clearing the calipers in the front? also does anyone have any recomendations on rim backspacing if the 15" wheel will work?
