I am looking for an absolute pristine, 100% intact heater for same 1966 FJ45. Mine has a leak...

Wanted:
1) rear shackles, about 4 3/4" (?) center to center IIRC. Currently running rigid Confer style with 5/8" geaseable pins. Need 1-2 shackles and 2 or more pins, plus 5/8" bushings. Or maybe a good time to change to something else better?
2) 1 ton steering arms, TREs, etc for fj60 knuckles to sag PS. still have some research to figure out what's needed.
3) parking brake cable for 77 vintage pull to 4 speed case. all or part - have a project in mind and only need the front half of it - attachment to pull handle plus a few feet.
will post other junk when I think of it in case anyone cares... :)

Traveling to/from San Jose area. Have limited space, but if anyone needs something hauled let me know. (route through SF via 280/101).

I don't recall who the guy was but I talked with him a bit this swap meet and have a couple engine bay pictures from last swap meet(3 or 4).

The air cleaner was a "hacked" up K&N filter charger for an Avalanche.

Would you email me the pics you have?:D

He had the AC working and he hooked up the cruise control. I thought that was cool:p I was surpised that he still had the old LC master brake setup. A lot of alternatives available to change out the master. Overall, I thought he did a really good job installing that Vortec.

Some work I did for my Vortec today.
Ordered a fuel pump today from Autozone "E8248", with a PF4777 filter. $150 for both.
The Vortec's have a fuel regulator built in, from what I learned. No need for the Corvette filter with built in regulator.
Also, got a new thermostate. Stock is 197*. Interesting, the thermostate comes with its own housing as a single unit.

I ordered chrome plated headers from AA, $235. Back ordered a month. A little bling for the engine.

Researched an aluminum radiator from the links previously posted. Griffin 1-28202-x, 24x19x2". Has inlet and outlet on the passenger side. Works better in that setup than the stock cruiser radiator. No hoses to lay across the engine. ~$300.

Lil'John
07-16-2009, 08:25 PM
Bill, I posted the pictures into your post.

The "older" Vortecs had an internal fuel regulator. The newer(2003??) had only a single line going to it and needed the "corvette" fuel filter/regulator setup.

Cruise control with drive by wire is very easy but yours isn't the DBW:laughing:

The radiator can be found in 2.5" and 3" widths too.
