I am getting ready to redo the wiring on a couple of trailers and I want it to be sealed so it lasts. I plan to get some weather-pac connectors.
My big question is whets the best way to completely seal the connection where you run lights in series i.e. the clearance lights on a trailer (have one wire connect to multiple lights)? I have used liquid electrical tape before, but is there a better way?

do NOT run them in series, run them in parrallel.
if you run them in series they will be dim and if one quotes working, they all turn off.
to wire them toghther and be corrosion free weathertight heat shrink butt connectors are the way to go.

heat shrink but connectors over solder connections are the best way to do the wiring that will be long lasting and weather resistant.

I think you know you're wiring the lights in the STRING in parallel, but for clarification I would avoid using the word series in the future ;)
To make the connections permanant and last the longest, I would solder all connections then heat shrink, then either heat shrink a longer piece over that or tightly wrap electrical tape about an inch farther than the first heat shrink in each direction.

Gonna be awfully hard to get a but connector over a soldered connection.
Solder and heatshrink is the best way. Smear some dielectric grease over the exposed wire before heatshrinking, seals it up nicely.

You can buy heat shrink butt connectors designed for one wire in two wires out, look at del city online if you can't find them locally.
There are some heat shrink connectors that have solder in them that flows when you heat them to shrink the tubing, not sure if you can get those in a one in two out style though.

x2 their is a heat shrink that is water proof, it has this gooey stuff in it that will seal it 100%. I have used it but do not know where to get it. I used it on an extension cord and the guy that was helping me threw it down in a puddle of water befor it was even cooled off. cool shit for sure! If anybody knows were to get it please post up because the amount I stole from were I use to work is almost gone.

del city or waytek should have glue filled heat shrink, boat stores are another good spot to check
