I am in the middle of making some custom radius arms. I have my jig made, and now i am trying to decide on what steel to use. I am going to cut the arms and box them, but..... Should i go with 1/2" mild plate, or should i go with 3/16 T1 plate. Of course the T1 would be the obvious choice as far as weight is concerned, but it is also more of a "hard" steel and doesn't give. The mild would be heavier than hell, but would have a little give. Let me know what you think. :flipoff2:

Why dont you Sam's" Holey Bushes" mod first!
it might give you the Extra wheel travel that you want without the headaches of making custom Arm's.

My Rangie has a Custom 4link setup and gets similar performance to the Holey Bush mod with the exception of adjustable Caster.

Go with the 3/16th's T1....If your gonna' build a box radius arm outa' 1/2 mild your gonna' have a 60lb radius arm.

I would seriously consider going to 1/8" sides and top, and use 3/16th bottom. If you build them right they sould be bomb proof.
