got a rear 60 and all the stuff to swap it in, and got a front 60... im trying to collect everything i need to swap them in and have it workin or atleast have it rollin around in the drive way not sitting for weeks on stands.

I plan on doing a leaf conversion in front. if ya dont mind let me know if this is all i need for the swap.

i have 63 inch chevy springs for front,
new brackets and hangers for them im going to use the lower ca position for the rear mount on spring, and im going to build a cross member for the front and use some shackles from my old k5 i have laying around
u bolts, plates
steering kit from ballistic fab
plating the front of rails and bracing the steering box

and for the rear im plating from the front to back of rails and for now was going to just use the 4.5 inch leaf packs i have now until they start falling apart.
already have the perches
new shock mounts

to connect the drive shafts dont i just need like a 1310 to 1350 joint?

for now the jeep wont be really dependable, and really done the way it should be the first time but im ready to re do if i got to in the future. for instance in the future i plan on running a dana 300, 38's and hydro.
I know that i will have isues with steering, probly other stuff as well but for now i think this will work pretty well with 35's right now i cant afford bigger tires, or high end go fast parts for the swap..i just want to do the bare minimum to swap in the tons then i can upgrade in the future i dont do much crawling on rocks mainly muddy trails with nice switch backs, hills, etc. i dont wheel it to hard but hard enough to tear the stock dana turdy but the 44 is hangin in there. so i figure for now the setup will work till i can get my hands on some better parts and run 5.13s and bigger tires for now the rear 60 has a full spool and both have 4.10 gears. i know its kinda dumb to just swap in tons and not do it all out and to do it and not run over a 35 because the stock sht can kinda handle 35s but like i said the futer mods this winter will be d300, 38's h1's and full hydro. thanks again for the input /help/suggestions...:flipoff2:

let me know if i missing something needed to swap. im going to use a e350 master cylinder and my stock booster...i can figure out brake issues when i get the swap done. thanks for any input. ive tried searching some but its hard to find someone with a list of parts used to do a small budget swap or i couldnt find one at least.

Well if you manage to do it in a few weeks you're better at it than I am. Mine's been sitting for about a year almost. It's on teh axles but about the time i bought most of the big stuff my business slowed down a bunch and i've had to budget. Which brings me to another point. I don't think there's such a thing as a budget 1 ton swap. Your budget will mean nothing by the time it's over
Ok seriously, what kind of jeep is this? If it's a YJ you might get by on the stock brake MC unless you go 4 wheel disk. Even then you might be ok, you'll just have to try it and see. with all teh talk about plating rails I assume you're talking about a unibody or a CJ though. Good luck with that budget thing though

xj.sorry.

and as far as the budget goes thats why i want to get everything i need for the swap before i start on it. then it wont be sitting on stands for months...this way if i get low on funds i can keep wheeling it til i get the rest of the parts, like i said im just trying to get a list of stuff i need for the swap so i can collect the just the parts i need to do the swap and get it to where it can move on its own power. thanks for teh input man i hope your buisness picks back up. the reason i call it budget is because i dont have the funds to do coilovers, and all the highend stuff. i wanna make do with the basic stuff and cheap stuff for a little while.:flipoff2:

Since links are the cool shit nowwa days ,why wouldn't you buy a set of stock style link brackets from a vendor (they are not too expensive )and reuse your stock complete suspension and springs till you can upgrade to coilovers and links and all the other overkill parts that prove your Johnsons the biggest .Then you might be in it for $400 and be unbreakable axle wise and on the road in a weekend .Then a long arm kit here ,lifted springs there ,toughened steering overthere as money and time goes and your still enjoying it in the mean time .

Lawn ornaments are always enjoyed by neighbors ,the longer they set there the better .I'm just sayy'in

see i was tryin to decide whether or not to build a set of long arms, and use my stock springs all around... just figured leafs would be easier to do. im not sure yet but im pretty sure i can do this pretty cheap since i only paid 200bucks for front and rear 60's and i just found a set of 37 inch swampers for 150, i have all the leaf springs, i just need to figure out the drive line stuff. before i can finish my list of shit i need to buy. i am ordering a steering kit from ballistic, and perches/ spring hangers/shackles from ruff stuff.

I'm doing a Chevy Dana 60 and 70 swap into my 03 TJ w/ a D300, front 3 link and rear leaf springs. I originally wanted to do front leaves and link the rear but changed my mind due to the PITA it would/will be to keep it relatively low.

Click the link in my sig for my build thread.

So far I'm out roughly $7000, including the axles. So around $4700 without the axles factored in. My 60/70 are already built/geared/locked/35spl inners and outters all around so if you have to do that stuff then kiss your budget goodbye.

Still need to pay for the stuff for hydro assist, my driveline upgrades/shafts/etc, so I'm estimating another $1500 to get it moving, then a cage as soon as money allows before I actually wheel it.

yea ive seen yor build, nice ...

well my 60 has 4.10,s and its spooled the front has detroit and 4.10s i dont do much rock crawling like the hammers and shit but i will be doing all the common goodies like the d300, 4link rear and 3 link front with air shocks...but that will be a while before i do al that for now i have 200 in rebuilt axles, got a good deal as a guy i know was actually re building for a friend who never paid, he owed 200 and i payed my buddy off to get em...the other guy was glad to have debt cleared, see we are broke dicks who dont have 2000 to drop in tires and 1200 for shocks...but i can manage collecting them little by little to get it done so for now i just wanna swap em in, and make do with what i got for now and run some craigslist 37inch tsls i scored for a buck fidy...I should have 1500 or so in parts for now to swap em under and be rolling again, at least close to it. thats with all my perches, brackets, steering kit from ballistic, shafts, and joints, once i finish collecting the good stuff ill build the 60d's up to bling status. for now i just want to make it work on em with what i got. if i break shit ill fix if i break shit alot ill park it and wait for the good shit, like the links, air shox, lower gears, hydro assist...etc...ive seen many xj's with stock drive train, 4 inch or so lift and 38s with almost stock 60ds leafs all around do good on mild trails, thats all im doin right now, tellico is the worst i have to go to that i can afford to travel to and wheel, i mainly stay around uwharrie, gulches, and local trails. to be honest i dont need 1 tons, i could beef up my stuff a little more and be ok but why not :flipoff2: i might eventually have a worthy rig on tons but for now the booty ton swap will have to do.:flipoff2:

thanks guys.
