Madness on the Mountain
July 17th, 18th, and 19th 2009
Rocky Top OHV Park
Jellico, TN
Rocky Top OHV Park, nestled in the amazing Cumberland Mountains of East Tennessee. Rocky Top is home to one of the most famous competition off-road event areas east of the Mississippi. A quote from Discovery Channels latest hit show says it all, “The off-road park in Jellico, Tennessee is the birthplace of Eastern US rock crawling competitions. “
The Rocky Top OHV Park is host to some of the toughest terrain you will ever wheel, all set to the most scenic back drop imaginable - this is the place to be. Be one of the first to wheel the legendary rocks of the infamous Jellico, TN OHV Park at its opening ride.
Over the Top, Hardcore, and Insane do not begin to describe a weekend at the Rocky Top OHV PARK. The trials at Rocky Top are not for the faint at heart, there is a reason why the Bondo trail is called “Bondo”. To make the most of the trials we have to offer you will want to come locked and loaded with at least 35” tires and dual lockers. There are a few marked cruiser trails however the current trails are more geared towards hardcore wheeling.
This event will be limited to the first 75 registered rigs.
Pre-registration - $50.00 Weekend Pass includes dry camping Friday and Saturday nights and riding both days.
$40.00 Two day ride pass
$25.00 Single day ride
You MUST pre-register for this event no later than July 8th
No one under 18 allowed in without a parent or legal guardian. No Spectators. Park closes at 5:00pm on Sunday.
See Web Site for park/vehicle rules www.ROCKYTOPOHVPARK.com
Come see for yourself why Rocky Top OHV Park already has a reputation as one of Americas premier Off-Road play areas.

ftoy507 06-14-2009, 08:02 PM Does the park consist of the comp site plus additional trails in the area or comp site only.
Either way I will start trying to organize this with my group. I would pay the entry fee just to drop off battleship and run the backside where campbell went crazy at WEROCK 08. The f toys never got to run that part of the site.

The comp site will be open to all. There are also trails that are wicked fun to just plain insane. No one has yet to make it all the way through TAPOUT without pulling cable, once the cable is out or you take a bypass you have TAPPED OUT. Come out and join us for the weekend.

ftoy507 06-17-2009, 07:04 PM May come with my son. Trying to get a few others to come with me. Will finalize late next week.
Do you have room for 40' motorhome with 20' trailer? I will be in a setup like this. If I can get my other guys on board. I will have 2 more motorhome setups with me.
Tapout sounds awesome. Technical crawling or hammer down and hang on?
ftoy507 06-22-2009, 02:24 PM Scratch that last question. I remember plenty of parking in the parking lot at the comp site (probably not level) and a few motor homes parked halfway down the dirt road on the right.
Trying to get the crew to commit by the end of the week.

Sorry for the delay just got back in the office from a trip out west. There is plenty of room for RV's and trailers, like you mentioned level parking is a bit harder to come by. No power or water on site yet.
Tapout is a insane. If dry then a lot of tech crawling if wet at all than hammer down. The last climb out of the second half of the trail is wide open gettin it from the bottom. We are looking to move a rock over a bit on the start of the climd that will at least give you a chance to get a run up on the climb. I have been told that this climb was used in the very early days of EROC the the property.

cbtoy4x4 07-15-2009, 01:19 PM hope all are welcoming the mud that will be there it is raining an very heavy at 4:15 on wed. afternoon. suppose to till friday morning.
ftoy507 07-15-2009, 05:33 PM It has rained every time I have competed ther. Why should this trip be any different?
cbtoy4x4 07-19-2009, 04:30 PM wondering if any body has gotten home yet with pics or videos. also hoope all had good time.
ftoy507 07-19-2009, 06:25 PM Too much trail riding to keep up with a camera. Pics should come soon. There were several cameras flashing at all times.
I will say:
The staff and wheelers were awesome, My son and I went by ourselves. We did not know a single person when we arrived. People we have never met were willing to let us follow them. They spotted us, turned the rig back over, stacked rocks, pulled cable. It was like I was wheeling with my normal gang.
The trails are awesome. Tough enough for the hardcore and a few mild for the entry level wheeler.
Ability to run lines on the old comp site. PRICELESS
Midnight rock crawl competition absolutely insane and extremely fun. (Thanks for waking me up Jeremy)
More bad ass big HP rigs than I can remember seeing at any non competition event.
WHEN CAN WE DO IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!
GONOVRIT 07-19-2009, 06:50 PM Big thanks to the park owners for having all of us! Got to see and do alot of full throttle wheelin and we only got to run one and a half trails plus the comp course. Great park, good people, good times. Can't wait to do it again!
Man I think that Ftoy of yours had one of the cleanest runs on Tapouts' muddy hill section, good drivin.
Suyota 07-23-2009, 06:27 PM Had a GREAT time. Spent most of my time on Tapout, but the little Tracker did surprisingly well (JMO) Everyone was very helpful and courteous. Had a great time wheeling with ya FToy507. Got some good pics of the FToy on its side against the Tracker, LOL Not good at the posting pics thing but if you can pm me your email I will send them to ya.
We Had a BLAST here!!! This park in AWESOME!! Can't wait till the next event !!
