Im not sure if this is the best area for this, but I would consider the non hardcore arae to have more normal wheels, and hoped Id get more responses than in the hummer forum. Anyway, i have a few questions for those that have used these.

I bought a set of USA6x6 inserts about 2 years ago. before they went under(now i see why). It took 2 months to get them and about that time I moved and theyve sat ever since until now when Im trying to set my wheels up. I didnt realize the specs were so far off on these things. The width varies from 6.5"-7.5" around the circumference since they were not cut straight.

first question: what is the correct width for these with the 12 bolt wheels and radial 37s. i need to shave these down to be uniform.

Second question: Did they make different inserts for the 8 bolt and 12 bolt? I had 8 bolts that i was going to use but sold them to buy my 12 bolts. They fit on the 8 bolts ok and had a single hole drilled in the center for air flow since the valve stem is farther inboard on the 8 bolts. On the 12 bolts, it hits the backside of the valve stem, I think I need to trim it to fit.

Do the 12 bolt wheels use a normal everyday valve core?

I had another question but cant remember it right now. it will come to me.

I am thinking mine are right around 7" give or take a smidge. Mine are not USA6x6 but are the HDPE inserts from someone on this board. I can't believe I don't remember who made them. I think he was located in IL or something like that. I had to tell him the tire I was running so he would know how wide to make them. I am running a 42" Irok (bias). They have a pretty thick bead too so it may make a difference. Hope this helps ya at least a little.

The most common measurement on mine is about 6-3/4" to 6-11/16 or so. 3 are fairly consistent(only 1/8" variance or so), This seems about right since the wheel is 8.25", the spacer is 6-3/4" and the tire bead is about 11/16". That makes for about 1/8" oversize to cmpress the bead and the insert a bit for a firm fit. but one is aweful going as high as 7-3/4".

I bolted up one of the consistent ones today and everything went together pretty well. It took me a few minutes to figure out everything fit OK, I thought I was having some issues. Looking at the backside of the wheel after it was bolted together, the two halves did not look to be touching, but the 3 little squre dimples were seated, but 2 out of my 5 wheels does not have the dimples(around the raised circle around the lug holes). Those two wheels, the halves completely meet, they dont seem to on the other 3. Im not sure if it will hold air yet, I need to get new valve cores for it.

Is that correct, or is it possible that my wheel halaves got mixed up possibly from the previous owner. I dont see any difference in the tubs.

I need to find one more HDPE insert now since I have 5 wheels now but only 4 inserts. Who else makes HDPE inserts? I dont wat PVC, its stiff as hell and harder to install. Stazworks seems to offer them, but they are more expensive than any other inserts Ive seen before.

with dimple, the two halves do not touch, just the dimples:

Stazworks is where I got mine from. Not too sure about the issue with the dimples. If I recall from looking at the inside where my 2 halves meet they don't look to touch but the oring sealed it up.

honestly, my recomendtaion is for you to dump the USA centers if you are ever planning to drive the rig on the road. I had a set of USA 6x6 centers on H1's and teh holes were not aligned correctly, and not centered in teh center of the inserts. I would recommend skippping them and going with 66cjdean's centers and avoid all the hassle.
