: 9" pinion nut torque spec??

Changing the yoke on a 9" and need the pinion nut spec. Anyone know?

The 9" uses a crush sleeve and does not necessarily use a specific torque. If you are just changing the yoke and not using a new crush sleeve just mark the nut in relation to the pinion shaft and when you put on the new yoke, tighten the nut back to its original location. NOT the best option but it will work. Too much torque and the pinion bearing preload will be TOO tight.
