: Looking for tips on routing exhaust up into bed of my truck...

My other projects on the truck are nearing completion, so I'm starting to look ahead to the future. What I'd like to do is route my single exhaust pipe up through the bed near the cab, with the muffler being in the bed with a curved tail pipe pointing aft. I have a regular cab pickup with an inline 6 and a Borla muffler that has been quite abused. Anyone out there done this or looked into it? I'm looking for pointers and tips or problems you ran into. It looks like pretty straight forward, but I'd rather learn from someone elses mistakes and successes than find out on my own and incur a lot of down time. (I think I've been with out my truck enough this year) Things like: How did you mount it? Is it really that much louder? Any legal issues? Is rain a problem? Or things I haven't even fathomed yet.
Any thoughts are welcome!

Thanks,

um... Not a good idea.

I would take your rig down to an exhaust shop and have them tuck it up as far as they can. You may need extra heat shields though.
