Picked up the 40 thursday and drove her home. Turns freaking awsome with the p/s and hydro assist. First thing I had to do was drive in a tight little circle, and since the rear is welded now it dug a small trench. Also had a front lockright installed up front.
Matt Hodges (TheLakeRat) at WTOR did the work.
The only problem so far is the dang welded rear is already broken. The other guy that welded it said he'd give me a month before my axles are all bent up, and I said I'd give him a week before his welds broke...took a few hours:rolleyes:, not even off-roading.
Heres a few poser pics

Nice! I love my hydro assist too.

BTW your axles shouldnt be breaking soon or bending. The only thing I would worry about is the pinion. I would get a better welder to do the job. :D

Looks good!!! That cylinder looks alot more compact than the ones at West Texas web page. What is the closed size of that ram and is it 8" stroke?

No Sure...
I might go measure it if I get off my @$$, good luck though:flipoff2:....Not sure about the stroke either

The one on his website is the old one that he used, he now has the rams made locally.

Hey Matt, thanks for the info. I'd been to your site before checking out stuff. Anyway...I'm running a XJ on 38.5 SX's....shaved 60 rear and a 44 RC frt., I too am in need of Hydro assist. Are the XJ boxes the same as YJ's and the late model J trucks?. I'm now running a Waggy pitman arm on my stock box but also have a couple J-10 boxes....which is best for you to modify?

Theinternals of all those boxes are the same. Some of the XJ's had a 3 bolt mount like the TJ but other than that they are almost identicle. I can modify any of them. The only one that is different is a J20. but if you are wanting to go with Hydro Assist then stay with one of the ones you have.

Hey Tim, Thanks....EH!
