It was the first trail (warm-up) for the big guys and it was extreme for some of the modified stocks. Pictures unfortunately don't do it any justice. The layout was pretty much the toughest route UP the M-trail.

Wow hey that first pic of the camo zuk is a local guys rig. Any idea how he fared, or his brother and any of the rest of his group?

The zuk broke a birf  He actually timed out on the run because of it. I guess he hasn't invested in Long's Birfs yet.

Quigly, who did the van did alright  His business is doing 4x4 conversions and changing left and right hand drives. He actually had this on the right hand drive.. He pulled off and had to repair a bent tie rod and bypassed the large rock you see in most of the pics simply because "the rock would have won". My guess is, since he sponsered this comp, he was there simply to destroy his van in the name of CHEAP :( advertising.

It worked though since his pic is here ;)

Alot of the others over at Keystone Krawlers (http://www.rockrails.com/forum) were taking pics of the other trails and the majority of them are there today also.

I just got back from watching today (Sunday). The Big'ns were running (I think) Pipe Bender today.

Steve and Devin in the big silver Jeep (http://www.ofoto.com/Slideshow2.jsp?UV=255365299503_63266367503&US=0&collid=33305947503&photoid=39396150203.62139947503&refreshkey=1031533232173&state=) looked to be doing very well, along with the big yeller Jeep (http://www.ofoto.com/Slideshow2.jsp?UV=255365299503_63266367503&US=0&collid=33305947503&photoid=39396150203.43139947503&refreshkey=1031533232173&state=play), and Charlie (http://www.ofoto.com/Slideshow2.jsp?UV=255365299503_63266367503&US=0&collid=33305947503&photoid=39396150203.50629947503&refreshkey=1031533232173&state=) (What's up with the pizza cutters?). I have no idea who won!

The guy in the Sniper (http://www.ofoto.com/Slideshow2.jsp?UV=255365299503_63266367503&US=0&collid=33305947503&photoid=39396150203.10629947503&refreshkey=1031533232173&state=) and his spotter seemed to have more $$ than driving/spotting ability. They did ok - mostly because of the equipment that they had - but they definately didn't look like they knew what they were doing.

The van was just a joke. I was kinda mad that they even let him in there. Luckily, he was last in line for his class - because he was going nowhere at all! It was fun to watch then hammer that thing - more body damage than I have previously seen on any one trail! They had a whole crew of guys that stacked rocks for them after they timed out - basically making a paved road.

As for the little Sammy (http://www.ofoto.com/Slideshow2.jsp?UV=255365299503_63266367503&US=0&collid=33305947503&photoid=39396150203.23110057503&refreshkey=1031533232173&state=), he did a pretty solid job at the section we were watching. He cleared the bonus rock with little trouble, and skated on through the rest of the course.

There was also a blue Jeep (http://www.ofoto.com/Slideshow2.jsp?UV=255365299503_63266367503&US=0&collid=33305947503&photoid=39396150203.38940057503&refreshkey=1031533232173&state=) in his class which did great. These guys were a great team - and amazing to watch! I would be very surprised if they didn't win - although I didn't see them on any of the other trails.

I didn't get any "digital" pictures.

They're called Trees. I hear they don't grow in the desert too well.:flipoff2: And they're carniverous, they love sheet metal and glass!
