It went under last fall, and I let it dry out all winter. drained everything, got all the water out of the motor, new plugs, wire dist cap, and replaced the CPI unit. Tank was dropped and cleaned out, as well as all vacuum lines and fuel lines. I get spark, and it will run and start when I pour a little gas down the intake. It starts sometimes breifly then stalls. yeasterday, it started, and ran fine for about 2 minutes, then stalled again. Now I get it like it wants to start, but stalls out after it huffs and puffs for a few seconds. I know the fuel pump is working. Any suggestions?

is it flooding out due to bad injectors?
is the fuel filter plugged?
did you replace or clean the fuel pump relay?
I'm just shotgunning possibles...

it only has one injector. Fuel is getting to the injector, but not sure why it's not getting anyfurther. When I test it with a volt meter, I get a rapid pulse of 12 volts. The meter needle bounces from zero up the scale then back to zero very rqapidly when cranking. So I figure the injuector must be getting a signal. like I said, when I pour a little gas in the intake, I get it to start. So spark wise Im good. Just something not right with the injection system. I might just junk it. ???

bump. I tried again today, and I get the same thing. I know the fuel pumps works, it builds pressure, it starts when I pour a little fuel in the intake. Why would fuel not being getting through the CPI unit. I just put a used on on there. What type of signal should the injector be getting? If it isnt getting the 52-63 psi to the injector, would that be the problem? Would a fuel pump work but not put out enough pressure? Man I just hate to junk it, when I know it's something small. But is also not worth me putting any money into cause its a beater. Not to mention lack of money.
