I have an olds 350 that I want to bolt to a turbo 350 from a 72 jeep waggoneer. The tranny is a BOP so it will bolt directly together. What I need to know is that since the jeep had a three inch wide adapter to fit the AMC 360 what will be required to make everything work. When it is bolted together will I need a spacer, or a different type of torque converter to make it work?

jeep neverused a TH350, only a 400. and why would you want to use a Buick 350, the AMC 360 is overal a better motor (by a good amount).

whats your reasoning?

We did this once with a OLDS 455, if I remeber correctly the owner used a OLDS TH400 converter and it worked fine. But you might want to check the TH400's imput shaft length etc with a tape measure against a STANDARD olds TH400 Just to be sure. If ya need measurements lemme know as I happen to have a TH400 olds tranny out of my scout sitting on back of my car trailer as we speak.

My mistake on the identification, thanks for setting me straight. The reasoning is that the AMC 360 is scattered from what is left of the jeep to who knows where. Since I have a running olds here that I can freshen up and is complete, it is easier for a low budget person like me to rebuild.
