ive spent about an hour reading threads that conflicted each other, and i also called advance adapters before posting. i do not have a tranny to look at, but ive determined that the 4L80E is a 32 spline male output. ive got a few of the late model 6 bolt round pattern NP205s with 32 spline female inputs. and ive also got th400 to np204 adapters.. is this a simple bolt on or will adapting/clocking/etc be required?

any info, pics or links to builds would be appreciated. thanks

the gm th400 and 4L80E use the same 6-bolt pattern and they both have 32 spline male outputs ( in general, some of the th400s had a 27 spline output ) but the shape of the round hub on the adapter is different. you will need the AA adapter to mate them up properly.

you'll also have to rig up a vss on the 205 to make it work properly. 91 205s had the vss but that was the only year.
