: WJ front axle into an XJ?

I've read as much up as a can about burnsville off road's WJ steering/brake conversion.

I also have an opportunity to grab parts off of a WJ rather cheap. Probably cheaper for all the parts than just to buy burnsville's kit.

I have not looked at the WJ closely, but i'm thinking everything from the pitman arm down, and the whole axle housing, slap it in the XJ and call it a day. (obviously it won't be that easy, but you get my point)

I don't like the idea of putting spacers behing the bearing hub and then bolting that to the spindle. all the force from the front wheel transmitted through 3 bolts, rather than a press fit REALLY scares me.

and while i'm at it, any other good shit to pull from the WJ?

You do know it has the wrong lug pattern right?

yeah, so?

redrill my rear D44 to 5 on 5", and pick up some shitty s10 wheels, or get a 9" center section with a stock car full floarter kit (they're 5 on 5") and have a matching bolt pattern 9" fullfloating rear.

The drag link might be a different length depending on where the WJ steering box is- no big deal there.

Are the coils in the same place more or less?

Be nice to have those brakes
