I got myself up early this morning to go run Carnage Canyon which is only about a half hour from my house so i didn't trailer there. Met up with a bunch of people at a McDonalds parking lot and noticed i was having trouble steering (i have hydro-assist). So i see the power steering pump is leaking a little and i fill it up a little. I didn't really help, but no big deal. So i get to the trail head, shift to 4 low, lock the hubs and start out. 10 ft. into the trail i can't steer AT ALL. I have a front detroit so i just figured the box wasn't working well enough and i'll call it a day, go home and fix it. I waved the guys i was with by me and went to turn out of the trail. 2 low, hubs unlocked, i still could barely turn at all. I finally got myself out of the trail, and opened the hood expecting to see a lot of power steering fluid. Instead i got bombarded with a cloud of steam and coolant everywhere! I guess i should have looked at my guages. So i look to see what's up and notice something's missing. My fawkin serpentine belt is shredded and tangled around my fan. Now i'm fawked, had to hitch hike home, get my truck and trailer, go all the way back and haul her home. What a shitty day.

When i get everything cleaned up and a new belt in there what else should i check? Could i have badly fawked up somethin else? I only ran it to get 20 ft out of the trail and to get it up onto my trailer. Hope you guys have better days than i have.

P.S. the one saving grace of the day was that i hitch-hiked back with a guy and his pretty hot girlfriend/wife i think, and she complimented me and said i had "nice teeth". I think if the car ride were about 10 min longer it coulda turned into a scene from a porn movie ;) :flipoff2:

Belts don't usually self destruct. Make sure all of your pulleys and accessories spin freely.

I wondered why your Bronc was sitting there all by itself. I saw you trailering up the canyon sitting right on some bicyclist's ass since he wouldn't let you by.
Hope ya get it fixed up soon, it sure sounds like one of the accessories decided it doesn't want to turn anymore.

Mine came off & wrapped around my harmonic balance takin the front seal out. That is all.

Sounds shitty man wish you could have ran the trail with us, we had a blast plus I got to put my truck on its side!

apparently if the day wasn't bad enough it looks like i'm now going to have to sell my rig, tow rig, and trailer or i won't be able to stay at school :( long story but this fawkin blows!!!!

yea check the water pump to see if it is locked of something like that....thats suck you have to sell your shit! i would say fawk school b4 i sold my rig...or sell plasma/sperm to get money!
