: Why does my detroit not lock up in reverse?

My detroit will not lock up in reverse.....why????
it is only a couple months old

If it doesn't lock up in reverse, give it throttle. It MAY not engage instantly, so try modulating the brakes or giving it LOTS of juice. It'll go.

I've found that if your ass is realy light, backing up hill gently, one tire will spin slowly. A lil brake pedal, or a stab of the 'GO' pedal gets the two hooked together. :D
Just gotta load up the driveshaft a lil.

Mine lock up with very little throttle in forward as well as reverse.
