After doin some more diggin this is what I found
K, here are the spring rates:

'87-'90 YJ:

4 leaves in the front only, 39.75" long, and a rate of 128 pounds/inch stock and 203 pounds/inch optional (6 cyl and/or hard top).

Rear has 5 leaves stock and 6 leaves optional, 46" long, and a rate of 170 pounds/inch stock and 237 pounds optional (6 cyl and/or hard top).

'91-'95 YJ:

4 leaves in the front only, 45" long, and a rate of 113 pounds/inch stock and nothing optional.

Rear has 5 leaves only, 45.6" long, with a rate of 170 pounds/inch, nothing optional (no heavy duty).

If this is all true and we no the the Yj's flex like crazy and I no what particular year I got my springs from we could theaoreticly order the same rates In a coil spring and be just as Happy with the results or am i way off base?????

where did you get that info on the front spring lenghts? seems strange to me that theres a difference in years. that would mean different shackle mounting points on the frames, which I dont believe is true. Also, never heard of aftermarket springs made for 87-90 and 91-95....just 87-95 YJ. just curious.

searching through different threads but called a friend of mine at a local 4x4 shop to verify and he said yes this was all correct does seem a little odd on the length although a spring with more arch will measure shorter eye to eye

yah thats true about the arch, havent noticed it though between different YJ years. I'll have to measure mine soon.

YJ do have diff packs 4 spring 5 spring and so on.But who cares.

Heres how you get maximum flex out off the front off your zuk.

Take rear springs out off a 87 4 runner.(There long,40 something)
I put them on the front off my sami with a shackle reversal.Had to extend my frame a bit, BUT i flex so far my front drive shaft fell a part and i only had a 1" from my drive shaft bottoming out.

I could max out 30 inch procomp 3000 shocks.

JUST my opinion.TAKE it for what it's worth.
