Big changes here at Ruffstuff on our Heim Joints!

14 months ago we started selling heims and all the accessories. I had no idea they would become such a big part of our business at the time but I am glad I ordered big! Through all that we have become a powerhouse in the heim business and with that comes Buying Power! Sooooo, we are now having our own line of Ruffstuff Rod Ends made to my specs! I really didn't change much from the joints we have been selling, just the material, now we are making Heat Treated Chromoly heims for a couple of dollars more than most companies sell the mild steel joints for!

We will be rolling these out over the next 6 weeks, yesterday we got our first batch of 3/4" joints. At the end of January or early February we will get the first 1.25" HT Chromoly heims (with a 78,000lb rating!)

For the 7/8" joints we overbought a tad and are right now running a closeout sale on the perfectly good chromoly, but not heat treated joints for a screaming package price of $46.50 or $12.50 each! We will be introducing the 7/8" HT Chromoly in Late February after these are gone...AND until February 15th we are having an introductory price on the 3/4" HT Sets at only $42.50 and thats for 2 with the works!

The misalignment spacing is 1.95" overall for the 3/4" & 7/8" and either 2 5/8" or 3" for the 1.25" heims....

This is what I like to hear! Its all about you, its about getting something quick and for a fair price. Some companies price their stuff a tad cheaper than us but what do they charge for shipping? Do they make a profit on shipping? When will it be shipped? And is it on the shelf ready to be shipped?

Keep those costs' in mind, they can turn a good deal into something else entirely:eek:

I can't say thanks enough!!! I came home this afternoon from the lake all 16 of these bad boys were there sitting on my door step waiting!!! I thought they wouldn't be here for another 2-3 days after the weekend, since they were going from California to Georgia. But holy shit they were already here! I had trouble with my Credit Card and paypal and told Dan and he went ahead and shipped the product anyhow. Of course I made sure to get it fixed and sent him the funds right away!! I'm truly amazed and the customer service, the shipping time, the quality, and the price. You couldn't ask for a better vendor any where, let alone here on pirate4x4 in my opinion. But to save you a click the 7/8" are available for a 1.5" or a 1.25" ID tube. The 1.25" are for a 1.5" ID tube and the 3/4" are for a 1" ID tube. Thanks

BTW, Zinc or Cadmium are the only ways to treat steel against rust, black oxide rusts very quickly....trust me, it rains here....

School me on Heims.... What does the 3/4, 7/8, etc mean?

What is the bolt size for each? what about the width?

That is the threaded shaft end, the bolt size is determined by the misalignment used, the through bore after misalignment. A 3/4" rod end will typically be used with a 5/8" bolt but we make SS misalignment down to 1/2" for them in 1/16" increments....Same for the 7/8"....
