What rear diff did a 99 2500 Suburban have in it , 14ff or sf? It's a 454 and is 2wd.

My b-in-law smoked his rear brakes dragging a giant camper ... might have taken the rear bearing/seals with it.

I need to buy parts in town and drive out to the country and try to revive it in a dirt lot.

In searching I find some references to both the 9.5 SF and the 10.5 ff.

I want to do this in one trip!

Couldn't say for sure. By parts for both, whatever you don't need, return when your done.

Call him and have him take the hub cap off the rear wheels and if it the hub has bolts its a FF or not etc... He could at least do that right? Then you would know.

Had him take a pic of the cover with his phone and mail it to me... :shaking: don't know why I didn't think of that before.

Turns out it's a 9.5 sf14.
