sooooooo.. yeah.. i picked up a rolled ZJ for free this weekend :D. I need that 5.2/auto in my cj in a bad way.
Help me out guys.

Its a 94 ZJ limited. Auto tranny. What auto is it? is it trailable/strong? Whats it going to take to mate it to my d300. If i dont go the auto route then i have a t-18 that i was going to mate to my 258. Is that still doable?

Know of anyone who makes motor mounts for this swap?

Look at Novak and AA to see if they make an adapter to the D300.

I've got the same drivetrain my CJ-7. Novak does make motor mounts. to fit the 300 you need to space it back a little otherwise bolt pattern is right and so is the spline count. Use an indexing ring to get this done (I designed and sell the original one) and you can rotate the 300 up out of the way at the same time. Front driveshaft clearance is a little tricky with that set-up but can be done.

It's a real strong tranny- 727 based. Some of the 5.2's came with the 44RH which is 904/999 based- still a decent tranny with stockish power.
