I did an SAS on my 81 Datsun, using the axles from a jeep J10. Dana 44 front and amc 20 rear. I know this is the Chevy section, but its the same 6 lug pattern so I figured This section would have the most info on six lug pattern. Anyway I'm tired of cleaning the junk from my drums. so I was think of a disk break conversion. So I was wondering for those of you who have done this on Chevy's were did you source you rotor from. I looked at the ones on the new six lugs at the JY and the center hole looks to small.

i would rather find some brake rotors but that is just me..:D
i use rotors from the a front 6lug gm axle. i put them behind the axle shaft and pin them with the wheel studs use some weld on caliper brackets and good to go.

"brake" rotors from the newer chevys, like 01s and up? I never thoguht about putting them on the inside. Were did you git studs with long enouhg splins to go though the rotor and the hub?

OK i got a set of 75 rotors. got them home and the flange that the lug studs are on is bigger than the inside of the rotor. I was thinking of just cutting it down to fit but that will leave a Little less than a 1/4 inch between the stud and the edge of the flange. will this be OK are is that to Little material? I was thinking as long as i keep it tight between the flange and the inside of the rotor, the rotor would help with the strength.
