the gear ratios of a 700r tranny. need to find our for a friend. it's in a 79 k5 in case there is any variance from year to year.

3.06, 1.63, 1.00, .70. Wouldn't have been factory in a '79. '82 was the first year. The original ones had reliability problems. Around '87 they were better.

If you've got a 700R4 in a '79 K5 it's been swapped in, they were not available until '81 or '82 I can't remember for sure, but 3.06 1st, 1.63 2nd, 1.00 3rd, 0.70 4th, and 2.29 rev comes to mind. If it's a TH350, it's 2.52 1st, 1.52 2nd, 1.00 3rd, and 1.94 rev, TH400 would be 2.48 1st, 1.48 2nd, 1.00 3rd, and 2.08 rev.
