Ok so I have started going through this 77 f250 highboy, and yes its a true highboy lol but lets not get that started again lol Anyhow I am pulling out the tranny for a rebuild what knowledge do you fellas have to share to make it "bullit proof" any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated
Its going behind a 400M with the edlebrock power package right now but there is a 557 stroker with lots of laughing gas in the works that will probably be installed within the next year so I want to build it now rather than after as its a little sloppy now. Looking for suggestions on valve body, mods I can do myself and I believe I even read on here about some parts I could take out of an E40d to improve performance, etc. As of right now the truck has no lift but is on 35" TSL's has A low pinion D44 in front and A D60 in the rear with 4:10 gears. which I plan to change to 5.13's or something in that area. And a divorced 205 t case which I also want to go through. I intend to put a D60 up front eventually and weld up the rear. As for usage it will be for mud pit runs and a whole lot of just tearing up my back 60 acres.
hope this is enough specifics if more info is needed please let me know as I will gladly provide it
