I and a small group of off road motorcycle riders were in the mountains on legal trails in the Crested Butte area this weekend when, on a break, we encountered a couple on foot who were out surveying the "horrible" damage we were doing to the enviornment. After an hour of heated but civil dialog, the dicussion came down to whether or not dirt bikers keep everyone else from enjoying the trails. I'm curious to how many mountain bike trips are planned based on the number of motorbikes in the area.

I go where I want to go, regardless of what other users are on the trails - they have just as much right to be there as I do, no matter our respective modes of transportation....

I'm with Yellow.
Wait I am Yellow.
Ah what ever.
I love seeing others on the trail. I say hi to everyone and give them a big smile.:D
Of course I ride motor bikes too.

I really didn't think it was a h-u-g-e problem in that everyone I've met has a lot of courtesy. As it turns out, these two individuals are the proud owners of a big ranch at the bottom of the hill and just think they own the whole world. Thanks for the replies.
