Hey, one of my cruisers is from Watsonville. You may know it. It was tan and had an advertisement for a tire shop painted on the side. :) It no longer has that

I may have seen it around, but I only moved out to Watson about 5 months ago. Do you have a picture of it? I may recongnize it.

Anybody have any leads on a WS frame? Wasn't there a guy in Night's Ferry off of HWY120 with a bunch of 40s sittin' in his front yard? I seem to recall someone mentioning that a long time ago and that he sold parts too. Anybody know how to get a hold of that guy?

Thanx again!

Hey Jimmy ! I've got an extra windshield frame, but I'm not sure what year it came off of. No hinges though. You can have it for free, if you want it.
Needs a little tlc, a wire wheel and some paint, but otherwise it's in good shape.

I've got a pair of hinges somewheres at home....IIRC, all years are the same. Saw them recently...just gotta remember what I was looking for that time to retrace my search steps...heh (gotta get a Google search for my garage...)

I have been through 3 this year. Luckily I learned my lesson and removed it before my last roll or it would have been 4

As for the hinges being the same, they all work, but late ones have cone shaped holes for the mouting screws, but the old ones will work fine.

You guys RULE! Reddog, I will most certainly take the frame. Are you sure you don't want any cash for it though bud? Not even a case of your favorite suds?:)

Woody, let me know if when you find them and how much you'd like for them or how much suds you'd like? :)

Wngrog, I know I've seen the pics of all three and they seem to be getting progressively worse bud! Are you going to replace that cage after the last one or do you just check the welds etc for stress cracks? Be careful would ya?!;)

GET IT!

early-1974 hinges are the simple flat style. 1975+ with bottom mount wiper motor stick out so that the frame can fold down. If you have late frame + early hinges you can't fold the screen down.

early hinges tend to break hinge pins more than late (maybe just age?) and door bushings are same for windshield (and hood) if you need em.

contact me off list if you guys are hurting for door/hood/wind-frame bushings.

Are you kidding? RustyB...master welder slapped that puppy together (for himself :D) and I stole it from him.

No really, the cage is perfect.

Giddy up!
