I know that this has been discussed before, but i never found an answer to a question I have. Marv was very good in answering most of my questions.
I have a set of Ford 57" leaf springs with the 4 leaf pack with the poly sliders between the leaves, a flat helper spring and a angled block. The springs are 3"wide not the 2.5" that everyone has used. The springs are very flexy.
Questions
Has anyone used these springs before?
Does it matter weather or not they are 2.5" or 3" wide as long as it works with your application?
And last has anyone tried using the Rancho 2.5" lift springs RS44154? (they are very close in spring rate to the Chevy Rancho replacements)
Any help, advice or experience will be greatly appreciated,
Mike

Mike where ya been? I too went with the 57" spring but the 2 1/2" version 3 leaf pack. I am having a guy up here make me a new mail leaf with 4" of lift in it (dont want any blocks) with the center pin moved back 2 inches, I dont like where my axle is centered. I have a bunch of springs laying around the yard so I will find something to throw in there and make something work.
You never called me back, I ordered my doubler from ORD the other day. My 32 spline input just showed up today so I can atleast start on it. Shouldnt be long and it will be done, just need to get my case down to have the machine work done. Well let you know how it turns out.... Craig

BTW what are you going to do use the 2 1/2 ton stuff now? I dont see why they wont work if thats what you are planning.
